中英礼貌用语的对比研究

    摘  要：作为一种社会现象，礼貌用语在不同的国家、地区和民族间都普遍存在，它是维系人际交往的一种重要方式和手段。礼貌用语的差异体现在我们生活的方方面面如：称呼、问候、恭维、道歉、感谢等等。本论文从礼貌用语的使用情况、表达方式入手，然后介绍“面子理论”、“合作原则”及“礼貌原则”这三大理论，并分析礼貌原则在中英文中的不同表现形式及差异，接着重点探讨不同文化背景下礼貌用语的使用情况及如何做到正确使用礼貌用语，以更好地促进不同文化间的交流与沟通。

A Comparative Study of Polite Words and Expressions Between English and Chinese
    Abstract: As a common social phenomenon, politeness exists in various countries, districts and nations for maintaining relationship with others. The differences of politeness between English and Chinese are reflected in every aspect of our daily life, such as addressing, greeting, compliment, apology, thanks and so on. This thesis firstly introduces the usage of polite words and expressions and its colloquial or written terms. Then it introduces three important theories, Face Theory, Cooperative Principle and Politeness Principle. And, it mainly compares the differences of polite words and expressions between Chinese and English so that we can understand the usage of polite words and expressions under different cultural background clearly and use the right forms to communicate with others. What’s more, it will better promote cultural exchange and communication between different cultures.
